For more than 30 years, the UW World Series has been one of Seattle's premiere arts presenters. Each season, the UW World Series brings the best of touring international artists to Seattle for its four performing arts series: World Dance, International Chamber Music, President's Piano (solo recitals), and World Music & Theatre.
All performances take place in the intimate, 1,200-seat Meany Hall located on the University of Washington's Seattle campus. With its continental-style seating, Meany Hall is known for its excellent sightlines and exceptional acoustics.
In addition to presenting artists on the Meany mainstage, the UW World Series touches the community through a variety of outreach activities including in-school artist residences, student matinees, master classes, public forums, and other special events. These outreach efforts bring the performing arts directly to students, adults, and neighborhoods who might not otherwise get the opportunity to experience them.
